The latest rage these days are organizations, groups, and individuals who identify themselves as anti-racist and proponents of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, or DEI. I must note that the word equity is not the same as equality. Equity, by definition, means the "quality of being fair and impartial" Ironically, those participants in this monologue have different suppositions than some might be thinking that form the foundation of DEI.
The first supposition is that the legacy of discrimination is implanted upon white, heterosexual, men of the past and by extension all the white heterosexual men today like me. And our discriminatory and bigoted natures are what make up a system of oppression that continues to oppress the minority groups in America today (and that list is growing and growing today).
After a short discussion with an old college "friend" who lamented being a friend with someone whose views are "a threat to her 'adopted Chinese' children", I suggested she has succumbed to the notion that my words equal violence and threats towards her kids. Of course, most fair-minded people realize that that is a ridiculous notion on its face! But this woman, a professor at an American university, has proven that one's education has nothing to do with one's ability to think critically or reason soundly.
The sign posted above is an example, like my former friend, of diversity that doesn't INCLUDE white men It doesn't INCLUDE conservative, libertarian, or even feminist voices (Transgenderism). No, it only includes leftwing and pseudo Marxists like BLM, Antifa, and most Democrats. And don't get me started regarding any minorities who have similar views as myself. They are called traitors, and every foul word you can think of by the people who proclaim to care about oppression and bigotry? Hypocrites!
I propose a real initiative to promote unity in the same means as Dr. Martin Luther King (MLK) proposed long ago before he was murdered through a conspiracy of the mafia and the government Marxists conveniently using James Earl Ray as the fall guy. MLK was a civil rights icon but was also a man of faith. Marxists are atheists and had no need for a man like MLK. The group ANTIFA is a violent enforcer for Marxists today and they are strong supporters of DEI.
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
"I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word."
"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies."
On that note, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion that is supported by some people in the USA is a misnomer, they don't stand for inclusion but for revenge, nor do they stand for diversity but the homogeneity of thought, and nor do they stand for equity but the chance to lord over others as their ancestors were once lorded over.
"Man must evolve for all human conflict a method that rejects revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love."
This is what HELP is all about. The rejection of revenge, violence, and hatred by joining together and talking, socializing and learning about the struggles around the world and, at times, agreeing to disagree without being disagreeable. We may disagree profusely about something but it never divides us to the point that we no longer associate with each other. This is true friendship. This is a true family. Home is where the heart is!
